I am looking for some books on WDW besides travel guides. I am looking for picture and history like books just on WDW not on Disney himself or the company. I would like something that is pretty comprehensive like the Beatles Anthology. Does anyone have any recommendations on your favorite WDW book.

Some of my Favorites are:

Since the World Began,WDW's First 25 Years by Jeff Kurtti - Out of print, but really a great overview, Try Amazon or Ebay

Designing Disney's Parks, The Architecture of Reassurance by Karal Ann Marling

Building a Dream, The Art of Disney Architecture by Beth Dunlop

Enjoy!

There is a store in MGM beside the Art of Disney Animation building that has a LOT of books like this. If you aren't wanting to wait, I would suggest doing a search on Amazon for Disney. I'm sure you will find some great stuff there.

I just bought a couple of books that deal more with the business side of things.

One is called Storming the Magic Kingdom, by John Taylor I believe. The other is Keys to the Kingdom by Kim Masters.

Storming tells the tale of how Eisner came to be CEO in 1984.

Keys to the Kingdom is sort of the same story, but it goes beyond 1984, and it gives you the history of the key players in the 1984 power shift. Very interesting reads! :)
