I did it yesterday....booked Boardwalk our home resort for June 10-17. How many other people have booked online?? It is our first time doing it this way and I am wondering if they really get back to you in 1-2 days?? Are my chances as good getting my reservation doing it this way?? I guess I am really wondering why it takes a day or two to confirm the reservation....When youi book on Disney.com you know right away if a room is available wouldn't you think it would be the same on DVC??

I am not blasting anything here just wondering why the big difference?? I stilll have to book air and have found a really good price for tickets and am now hoping they are still there when I find out if I get a room for my dates or not......Anyone out there that can give me hope?????/

I believe what you did was a booking request and DVC will get back to you within the time frame listed. I.e. There's no guaruntee that what you are requesting is available. I always call MS directly. I don't have any patience or nerves to use the online booking request.

Disney.com is a different entity entirely.

They will get back to you as promised. Whether anything is available or not, you won't know until you receive your email. I booked our early December trip via email with no problems, but it was at OKW, a large resort that usually has more availability. If I was trying to book VWL or Standard View at BWV, I'd probably call. DVC ressies and the "Regular" WDW resorts come from different inventories, and there is a little more tracking involved with DVC...for instance a lock-off takes both a One bedroom and Studio unit out of availability. That being said, DVC says they are working on an online system. They just integrated the individual point accounts for online viewing this year, ad truthfully I was surprised to actually see it. they've been "working on it" for a few years.

You didn't really book anything - not in the sense that you mean if you are comparing it to Disney.com

What you did is send an email request. We don't know when those are looked at. My guess is that your email will be looked at today, but it is certainly possible that anyone who calls today could get a reservation ahead of you.

As others have posted, if you're at all worried about getting something popular, you should call, not email

Best wishes -
