Has anyone booked with Orbitz with using the SPRING20 promotion. I am doing a split stay so first part of trip has my tickets on it. And second part is a ROOM ONLY reservation. With Orbitz I could save $200.00 at the Poly, and for GF I could save almost 350.00....Nervous to do it so wanted to hear from others?

Also has anyone ever tried to call Disney to see if they would match Orbitz offer???

THanks for the input :thumbsup2

I've never booked WDW via orbitz, but here's a thread full of people who have.

My BIL tried once, I think the CM is still laughing.:rotfl:

Good Morning....I would advise to read through the thread. Hope you find some helpful tidbits. I learn something new every day on the DIS

I am one of the people who saved a boat load on my upcoming trip in April with a special code my husband received back in January. I can clear up one thing...Disney will not match. I waited and waited but with every additional Passholder discount that came out I am still saving hundreds of dollars booking through Orbitz. Read thru the thread to see how you can manage a "3rd party" ressie. A dollar saved is a dollar you can spend on your "Disney fun".

Many of us recently have booked through Orbitz with the spring20 promotion. We decided to use the savings for our mid june trip to upgrade from value resort to POFQ. I had held out hope of a discount through Disney, but when I saw this I decided to book as 20 percent off is better than nothing. There seem to be far less discounts through Disney this year..we also cruise a couple of times each year and we have also seen less discounting this year for cruises.

Good luck...read through the threads and if you need magical express someone provided a link on another thread to book it (we drive so did not apply).

I read thru the other thread and another poster mentioned their July dates fall outside of the SPRING20 discount period. Pricing our July trip and it looks like we would save $289.00 if the 20% discount is offered + using the buy 3 get 2 days free park tickets compared to what we currently have booked thru Disney. This would be a nice savings to use on other things. Still hoping for a summer discount from Disney, but I might leave my options open and will keep watching the boards here...

And if you book today through ebates they are doubling the cash back...worth a shot to look into IMO.

somehow i just knew disney wouldn't price match:laughing:

I booked (thru ebates) and was very happy with rate I found on Orbitz via this promo and fact we could to upgrade to a moderate.:goodvibes

I changed plans since I found a great rate @ the Portofino and we're now heading to the darkside for 1 night (2 days) the end of our stay. Thought I'd have to cancel and rebook the whole disney reservation but found out you can call Orbitz and they will adjust the dates and refund the difference in price, naturally it has to be within the original allowable cancellation period.

I'm very happy with the level of customer service from Orbitz: agents are understandable, very courteous and quick customer service (as to obtaining our WDW reservation number).:thumbsup2They are my new go-to travel shopping site.
