Booking Window Question

I have booked 3 cabins for an April Cruise, one for my DH and I, we are silver, and the other 2 for our daughters and their families. Being that I booked the cruise, and they are all listed under my reservations, can I book PAT, excursions, sign up for kids clubs for all, or do my 2 daughters need to do it for themselves and their families at the later date then me?

If there is someone who is silver booked IN the cabin, they can book at the Silver date. If there is not, they have to wait for new cruisers.

You will not be able to book for them, unless they are also silver.

You can add swap your DH with another person in another room to get that room silver status. You don’t have to sleep in the room you are booked in and you can customize charging details on an individual basis if you would like.

This could be helpful if there are grandchildren and you want to book some things in advance for them that don’t necessarily include the adults. Character meet and greets (princess, frozen and marvel or Star Wars if applicable), Bbb, or nursery times are things that come to mind.

You could also book some individual things in hopes of adding other, non-silver room guests later.

I think the problem with this is there are only 2 people who are silver and there are 3 cabins (at least...the OP and her husband and TWO daughters AND families).

I agree, but there may be a configuration that exists to get all of the children silver booking privileges, even though it won’t be possible to get all of the adults.

My daughter loves the princesses, for instance, and missing the meet and greet would suck for her, and then we spend far more time in lines for the individual princesses.

Perhaps...but then you have to deal with who is allowed to take kids ashore and who needs to fill out a slip. It just seems WAY too chaotic to try and deal with.

I thought that part of online check-in was designating the adults who are allowed to disembark with the kids in your group. Is there more to it than that?

I don't know. I am single and thankfully (for me) child-free. But it seems from my reading here that there is a form that has to be filled out for any adult not in the stateroom with a kid to take said kid off the ship.

IMHO moving people all around just for a booking window just creates FAR more issues than it solves. (You also have to consider Muster stations and that you have to go to the one you are registered to - not the one your kid or spouse or parent is in if they are different.)

Just to clarify the answer to the OP's question. If the reservations are linked, then the OP can make excursion reservations, etc. for everyone. However, the cabin with only first time cruisers won't be available until their booking window opens. So the OP WILL be able to book for them, just not as early as the OP can do for their own cabin, correct?

Correct. Cabins will "come online" for booking according to their appropriate booking window, but if they are linked, anyone in those reservations can make bookings for available rooms.
