Booking VWL/BCV in Dec at 7 month window

Hi,

I was wondering how many DVCers were able to book the first two weeks of December at the 7 month window for VWL or BCV. What was the room size and dates.

We own at SSR and called at 11 months to book a 2BR at SSR for 11/27 thru 12/02 as a back-up. At 7 months I called and waitlisted for BWV and BCV (all views). BWV preferred view came through first so we took it but stayed on the waitlist for BCV (they cost the same amount of points). A few weeks later our waitlist came through for BCV. It took about a month-and-a-half for it all to come through.

I waitlisted for all nights, not just day-by-day, because we didn't want to potentially switch back-and-forth between resorts.

I will tell you this, though, both times I found out about the waitlists coming through, it was because I called them about something else and then asked about our waitlist before I got off the phone.

We originally were going 12/4 thru 12/9 but had to change the dates. IRONICALLY, we could have booked 12/4 thru 12/9 at BCV (2BR) at the 7 month window without waitlisting, but by moving it a week, two of our nights weren't available so we had to waitlist. ANYWAY, it all worked out and now we're staying at BCV. We've never stayed there and are excited to try some place new.

Thanks for the information. I have points at VWL and at BCV but may have to sell them and was just wondering if anyone was able to get a resort at the 7 month window other than SSR and OKW for the first 2 weeks of December.

We got a BCV studio for 3 nights - 12/10-12/13. Called day-by-day at 9am.

At the 7 month mark (using the day-by-day waitlist) I got a 2BDR at the BCV for 12/3 - 12/11 except for the night of 12/6. I'm still waiting on that one night!

I waitlisted at 7 months for a 2 bed at VWL or BW - at the moment no news - I may contact them to see if it's come through like with J & R's Mom - we're waitlisted for 12/5 - 12/11

I was able to book a studio at BCV for Dec 1st and 2nd on May 20th. I was waitlisted for the 3rd and 4th.
My waitlist came through on June 24th, so I now have Dec 1st-4th, studio, BCV, booked less than 7 months out. HTH!

Yes I did book a 2 bed at SSR for that time - I just fancied trying somewhere else as we stayed at SSR in May. We're planning on going again next May/June so maybe I'll get VWL then
