Booking VGF Tomorrow

Does anyone know if you will be able to book VGF online tomorrow- or will it only be call in to members services at 9 am EST?
I want to try to get our December 2013 vacation booking transferred over to VGF and want to be sure to be doing it in the most "efficient with best chances" way.

"Villas at Grand Floridian owners will have an 11-month home resort priority booking window and can start booking reservations as early as May 23.

The resort is currently scheduled to open on Oct. 23, 2013.



All other Members may begin booking Villas at Grand Floridian reservations on June 23, 2013, according to a 4-month or 7-month window.

•A 4-month window will apply for reservations with arrival dates from Oct. 23, 2013, through and including Dec. 31, 2013.

•A 7-month window will apply for reservations with arrival dates from Jan. 1, 2014, and beyond. "

Thank you for that information. I had read that- but it still doesn't comment on online vs calling. I was wondering if they would have it in the system for online reservations by tomorrow....

You can always log into the website at 8am to check -- and if VGF isn't available online, call at 9am.

Just want to point out that assuming the booking information posted above is correct, you won't be able to book December at VGF until August. 2013 reservations using non-VGF points can only be made FOUR months prior to arrival.

That is, unless you're purchasing VGF points.

let me also add that, My guide told me it may be well into the afternoon before anyone can book anything at VGF. They have A LOT of paperwork to enter into there systems from the accounting department before MS can even see your points. He also told me to log in to the system periodically and see if the contract was updated, and if not to call MS around 1:30 - 2:00.

My guide told me the same. Supposedly, contracts will be entered in order received... starting tomorrow. He told me MS will be inundated with calls and to wait until Friday to try to book anything.

I predict MS's computers will go down and we'll all be outta luck for any kind of reservation for much of the day.

My plan is to check periodically throughout the day tomorrow to see if my points are there. My guide pretty much told me the same thing a few others have mentioned - that there is a lot of paperwork to process and it could be tomorrow or as long as a few days until we see our points. Good luck everyone! Can't wait to see it on the screen - then I will finally feel official!

VGF is an option for online booking - i just checked.

Since it's still too early and I do not have any VGF points, it wouldn't let me do anything but look at the drop down box, though.

I saw VGF online this morning, but not owning there I was not able to book.

When I tried, I selected VGF but then got an error on the website. When I tried any other resort, the system gave me the availability so I'm just assuming that it is because I do not own at VGF.

The DVC Resource Center - post #8, has the VGF Point Charts for 2013 and 2014. There is a link to the Resource Center at the top of each DIS DVC discussion forum. There is a lot of DVC information readily available there.

I must say, that all and all it was a rather smooth opening of the reservations. Online booking has basically not been available, because even though all the purchases are done today...they can't close until we sign the docs and return them. A process that will take a few weeks to complete. So we can see our new contracts, but until they close they are not "officially" linked to VGF.

I called MS this morning at around 10am, and only 1 of my 2 contracts had been entered. They took me reservation, held the room, and as soon as the 2nd contract was entered booked the room and sent me an email confirmation.

Our contract was processed at around 2:30 pm and I could see the information on line ... our points were included in our 2013 total but I couldn't book. I had to call to get what I wanted... but I got Valentines Day weekend for my hubby and I in a Deluxe Studio, Lakeview!!! It will be our first stay ever at the GF and the fact that we are able to do it as DVC members... and a romantic weekend as well.... how cool is that???

I was surprised to see that there are more standard view rooms than lake view at VGF. I was afraid it would be the other way around.

Just booked online!!! Points are there but it doesn't say what resort they are for I thought I'd give it a try and it went through...booked standard studio 2/17-2/23!!!
