Booking through wdw/deposit

Planning my trip for oct 10-16th on wdw site the deposit down is set to $1,200 or is there anyway to put down a smaller amount? Then pay the rest until sept 10th? From what other people told me I could put down as little as $300 but all I saw was the $1,200 or go pay entire vacation

The deposit is the cost of one night per room. How many rooms are you booking?

That can't be right. I just priced a trip. Total cost nearly $4,000 and my deposit was only $200.

If you book a room only, the deposit is the price of one night. Remainder due upon check in.

If you book a package (room and ticket together) then the depost is $200. Remainder due 45/30 days before check in (used to be 45, have heard it's not 30 but I have no personal experience with the 30 days as I've been booking room only).

Also factor in travel insurance, if you have a bigger party, and you opted for it. It's due at the time of the booking. ($77.50 per adult). The due date is now 30 days out, instead of 45 days out for Room/Ticket packages.

Are you adding flights? Flights have to be paid in full.

Wow. My deposit was also $200 with the balance due at 30 days out. I'd call them (unless you've already gotten this resolved).

I was going to suggest the same thing. Disney can't add flight costs into their "lay away" payment system. Ohhh how I WISH they could, but since they don't own the airlines (yet), they cant.

But I booked our trip without the air fare, and $200 was all that was required from Disney.

If you do a room only reservation, the deposit is 1 night hotel payment, with the balance due something like 5 days before check in.

If you are purchasing a package, (unless something has changed), the deposit is $200 per room, with the balance payable 45 (I think) days prior to check in.
