I hope this makes sense--it feels kinds screwy typing it out:lmao:
So we are all set to book and it just occred to me I have been on the UK sight (we are in Germany but are U.S. citizens and I switched from the German sight becasue I am still learning the language and did not want to screw things up).
When I switched to the U.S. sight they are not offering the 40% discount I was planning on using. Nor are they offering it on the German sight.
I cannot find anywhere that says I have to be a resident or citizen of the U.K. to book through their sight and use that offer. Am I missing something or is it okay for me to book via the U.K. sight?

If you book on the Uk site, you will be expected to provide a UK mailing address, even though you won't get any confirmation of your booking in the mail. You'll get email confirmation of it all.

Hope this helps,

Thanks it does help. NOT what I wanted to read at all (I was so excited but we cannot spring for an extra 40%), but it helps. If DH gets the vacation approval this afternoon as expected I will have to get creative and try to figure out how to make it work.
Thanks again

Im in Ireland and booked through the U.K site.

Put my address in and left it with United Kingdom on the last line.

For example,

Miss ABC BLoggs
17 The cresent,
Kinsale,
Co.Cork
United Kingdom.

It went through fine. Friends of mine have also done this and they've been and are back. its never been questioned.

There has been many discussions here on the board that is very unfair that only UK guests get so many discounts and other country get nothing.

You have two ways to get the 40% even if you don't live in the UK.

You can use the adress of a friend in the UK (or a DIS board member) and then you request to receive all booking information per E-Mail.

or you can use

www.visitdisneylandparis.com

This is a British site and they have all the reductions similar to the UK DLRP site. So if DLRP has 40% or 3=2 for a special date then this site has the offer as well.

And there you can select any country in Europe. I booked through this site our next stay and it worked. I got the 40% reduction which I would have never got if I would have booked through the German homepage of DLRP.

hey im an Irish customer but booked through the UK website, i didnt actually get the 40 discount but my whole package was €300 cheaper by booking through Uk site :confused3

I used my Inlaws address but yes just leaving the last line as UK works too

So do you think if I used my company's UK address, it would work?
OR
would any generous Diser like to pass on their address and become my 'home away from home?' :lovestruc

Thanks everyone for the great advice here:thumbsup2 I am going nuts this weekend because we have to wait for Monday to get the vacation days approved. I am so excited to book this trip:woohoo:

That's great to know.
As you know i am in Italy and for our trip last year we had thought of giving Brian's brother addy to book via the UK site but then wondered if it could had been safe.
Mind you the only time they send me a real letter was when they told me there had been probs with my CC and my holiday was to be cancelled :scared1:
And what could happen when they realize my bank is in Italy?:confused3

I live in Germany, used my friend's parents British address and my mother paid for our trip as a gift and her credit card is in the US and it's in her name. I was honest with the phone rep and he said it would be fine! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

They charged my mothers card, used my name on the reservation and my friend's address! :rotfl:

Hi All

I found that the pricing on the UK site is still set @ 1.45 Euro/GBP. Hence, even without the discounts, the basic price is around 30% cheaper. I live in Gibraltar and the saving for my family of 4 booking and paying through the UK site was around £750 for 6 nights.

As long as you give them a UK address it allows them to give you the offer price - nothing goes to that address, it is emailed to whichever email address you give them. I guess you could even make it up.

One trip we used a french address to get a french offer - again nothing went to that address - all confirmations are emailed.

Regards

a friend of mine is trying to book the hotel for us but she can't because of technical support or something.
Is there a telephone she can use?? I had seen somewhere a phone number that is national rate, because I can't ask her to make an overseas call

The number to call to book in the UK is 08448 008 111 - this is a national rate number, 5p per minute from a landline.

You can't book from the official site using the "UK" -40%. It is only for British people.
