I'm sure this has been asked before, but all I can find are threads that relate to the free dining..

If we book our disney resort rooms through Expedia for a spring break trip, can we still add on the Dining plan? I asked Expedia and they said I could, that I just had to call Disney with my confirmation number and add it at least three days before check in. But then I called Disney and the CM I talked to didn't seem as sure.

Has anyone been able to purchase the dining plan after booking through expedia? And if so, what was the protocol you had to follow??

Thanks!

How did you book a Disney resort through Expedia? I couldn't find any of the resorts on there. As far as I know, you have to book it all through Disneyworld in order to get the dining packages with it...

Yup they have quite a few of them available! We are looking at Animal Kingdom lodge and POFQ....but I saw almost all of them available to be booked on expedia!! Here is their link to AKL

I'm trying to figure out then if it's still a good deal to book through expedia if I can't add the dining plan. The rooms are quite a bit cheaper though so it's tempting....

We booked our first trip through Expedia in 2005 before I had even heard of the dining plan (and before I found the DISboards). When I called Expedia to enquire about adding the dining plan, they said that Disney could do it if I called them directly. When I called Disney, the CM told me that they could not add dining to the Expedia package.

Have a great trip however you book it.

Pretty sure you have to book a package through Disney to get the FREE dining.

It may be worth it to cancel and pay cancelations fees and rebook through Disney. FREE dining is a great deal!
