Booking the Magic Express

Hi all

Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone have the contact details (phone number or web link) of how to book the Magic Express airport transportation please? We have booked through VH but only just realised we still need to book this separately. Do we do it through VH or Disney? Thanks in advance!

I did come across that link when I did a search but wasn't sure if this was the correct one as it says:

'This form is for our GROUP GUESTS only. Individual vacation guests, please contact 407-W-DISNEY.'

I'm sure it's probably fine but thought I would see if anyone on here has done theirs recently and how they did it?

Think I might give VH a call - think they should ask if you want to book this at time of booking the rest of your hoilday! x

Unfortunately the booklet/confirmation only comes out the week before you travel so just hoping it's all gone through OK.

Am I right in thinking that if it hasn't we can just turn up anyway and get luggage labels at the airport and then wait for the next available bus?

Yeah Sarah I saw that too, but it seemed to go through ok so hopefuly it'll work! Pls let me know what VH say, when we asked them about it when we were booking they hadn't even heard of it which I thought was quite bad!

I imagine we can just turn up, but would definately like to have confirmation

Strange when i booked DME i got an email confirmation straight away, In the UK you dont get any disney luggage labels as far as im aware, Im not sure that is the right link that youve used ???

Did you book yours online? If so, which site did you book through? I did get an email confirmation, but am just not convinced because on that site it says it's for group bookings only. Does the 2 of us count as a group?

I shall keep the email and take that with us when we go

Haven't managed to ring VH yet but did find the link in the lil planning booklet I was sent from Disney a while ago when I looked through it last night:

Haven't done ours yet but will do it this way when we get our US Hotel Reservation Number (so still need to ring VH anyway!)

Just make sure you check the 'I live outside the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada' box, and it does say they won't send to booklet outside these countries.

I have booked with virgin and they have booked magical express for me and i queried it as it is not showing on my invoice.

Not sure if it's still the same - but Virgin used to run their own buses from the airport to the resorts (although these are operated by Mears, same as Magical Express).

If you've booked transfers with Virgin, it will be on their buses, not the Magical Express buses - unless things have changed in the last year.

We booked with Virgin last year, declined their offer of transport or hire car, and booked ME for ourselves.

I think it has changed as we had Virgin transfers last time and they were very good and we had even had a MPV to outselves back to the airport. This year we were told they use Magic Express

With regard to the luggage tags from my reading this is only if you are flying domestically into Orlando International - DME will collect your bags from the luggage carousel while you proceed out to the bus - they then deliver the bags to your room.

What I understand is that for international arrivals we don't need luggage tags as we have to collect our bags to take them through security ourselves, then when you board DME they just put your bags under the bus and you take them with you to check in at your hotel.

We have also booked through VH and I just assumed they would book us on the DME but now I'm not so sure and will give them a call.

Hi TabZ, that's good to know about luggage tags

In regards to booking the ME with VH, got my partner to ring them yesterday as we weren't sure if it was booked either, and he said the lady on the phone said we were already booked on it so might be worth checking, but I'm sure you probably are booked on it too

Have read that even if you have the luggage tags it's best to take your luggage with you to the bus anyway. It can take up to 4 hours for cases to arrive at your resort after you get there

Always take our luggage direct to DME, just dont fancy losing or waiting hours for it to arrive
