I know I need to call MS to book the dining plan for our June trip home to BWV. Here's the question: My husband and I are staying in a 2BR with my brother, his wife and kids for the first 5 nights then they go home and the two of us are switching to a studio for the last 4 night. We've booked a separate studio for my parents for the first 5 nights. We're planning on getting APs, they're getting all 6 day MYW passes. Will we be able to book the dining plan for our whole 9 night stay? Can anyone tell me how this will work?
Thanks!

You shouldn't have too much of a problem. Are your two rooms, for the 2BR at the start of your trip, and the studio at the end of your trip, on the same reservation? If not, then worst case is that you'll end up with two separate dining plans. The down-side of that is that you won't be able to carry-over dining plan credits from the beginning of your trip into the end of your trip, and similarly you won't be able to pull-forward dining plan credits from the end of your trip into the beginning of your trip (but the day you switch, you'll be able to use credits from either half of your trip).

The DVC version of the plan is not tied to park passes. It does not matter that some of your party has MYW tickets and you have APs. The plan is tied to the room ressie, so all folks in the same room need the plan. Since you are sharing a 2 bedroom with your brother, wife and kids they all need to be on the plan for that ressie. It will be on all of your room keys. You will pay for the plan for everyone on the party when you check-in.

For the second part of our stay in a studio, you must also have MS add the plan to that reservation. You will pay for that portion of the plan when you check in for the studio.

Your parents also have the option, they can be on the plan or not, since they are on a seperate ressie for the studio. If they also want the plan, you'll need to have MS add it to their ressie.

Thanks for the great info. It was the whole pass thing that was worrying me--I was afraid we couldn't get the plan with APs. I've already made the ADRs--no small feat for a party of 10! This is a dream come true--having so many people I love in the place I love! The kids are gonna go nuts over being able to order appetizers, desserts and Cokes every meal. We're on vacation--nutrition can be worried about later! :Pinkbounc
Thanks for the great replies...
