I am looking at booking my first Disneyland trip for next summer. When will you be able to price your trip out on the Disney site? Currently it only shows until January 2020. I am trying to see if it is financially possible to stay onsite for our first trip. Thanks in advance

It should be working right now. To see, I just went to https://disneyland.disney.go.com/ to try it. At the top of the screen the "Price Your Vacation Widget" came up. I put in dates (I used July 2020) and number of guests. Then it walked me through hotel options and ticket options. And it had a price (a pretty hefty one!) and took me to a screen that let me add flights and other attractions. It seemed to work, so I think you're good to go.

If you're still having problem, maybe try a different browser? 🤷‍♂️

Good luck, and I hope it works out for you.

Thank you so much! I got it to work.

Looks like I will have to explore offsite options...way more than I was hoping for.

There are tons off-site options! I pretty much had to change my pants after I saw what Disneyland wanted for an on-site stay 😬😂

Glad you got it to work! Sorry it didn't pencil out.

I think when you go to Disney World, it's a significant compromise not to stay on site. But at Disneyland, it's not as much. The character of the resort is that it's smaller (and more intimate), it packs a lot more into the room it has, and it's surrounded by a pretty large population center. All of those things add to its unique flavor. And part of that flavor is that most of the people there didn't start their days on Disney property. That's just the logistical reality.

So when you walk across the street to your hotel at the end of the evening or even catch an Uber to your room a couple miles up the road, there isn't this sense that you're missing out because everyone else is settling into their Disney hotels. I'm not saying it'd be bad to stay on site (it'd be great!). But if you can't, I'd embrace it as part of the Disneyland experience. In my opinion, staying across the street on Harbor Blvd is 1000% better than any off-site hotel at Disney World. And I actually prefer it in many ways to waiting for and riding the monorail to my on-site hotel at Disney World.
