How competitive to book Dec 31? Should I wait till Feb 4 to book my home resort or should I call each day starting Jan 31... to ensure that I will be able to get my 2 bedroom for the holiday break this year. I live in West Coast. I hate to wake up 6:00am PST to book the resort. How difficult it is to book during these days?

I would book day by day. That is Very popular time frame.I would not take the chance.

Definitely call to book at least 12/31 as soon as you can - if you don't you will almost certainly have to waitlist. New Year's Eve is arguably the most difficult day to book.

You may be able to book the rest with one call - it depends on the resort.

Best wishes -

Thanks for the responds. I am wondering , can I do the reservation on the web? I can't find the functions in the www.disneyvacations.com Is using telephone is the only way to make an reservation?

Thanks,
Maria

Currently there is no online booking facility. The only electronic method available is to send an email to MS.

I stayed this past year checking in on 31 Dec and out on 4 Jan. I didn't make my booking until mid/late October because we sort of made a last minute decision to go.

I had a very relaxed attitude about the whole thing, but if you already know you want to go, book as early as your widows allow.

Initially, I had a studio 3 nights and 2 cash night. I waitlisted the two nights individually, I had also wait listed several resorts at an all or nothing level. Within a few weeks of booking the cash nights cleared and were converted to points nights. Then as time approached the waitlists for the resorts started to clear.

For me is sort of became fun to see just how far up I could move in my listing or resorts.

However, since you already know you want to go, book your home resort now and and 7 months try booking/waitlisting your desired resort.
