Booking std. view at 7 month window?

Hi Everyone: How easy is it to get a standard room booking at the seven month window at the BW? BCV? OKW? during the following times of the year:

Jan.
Feb.
Mar.
Nov.
Dec.(beginning)

I booked a Studio Standard View at BWV for the beginning of March 2004 at the 7 month window with no problem.

Sorry, but that is the exception, not the rule. At seven months you have to plan on prefered points and count yourself real lucky if you get std.

There are no std view(lesser point) rooms at any other DVC resort.

I agree with Rich. It is not the norm. Slow times are the most likely including Jan to March depending on when Easter is. May, Sept to Nov excluding Thanksgiving.

It's not easy to get a std view room at BWV in early December at the 7 month window. We failed once and managed one night on another occasion. However, this year we got lucky and we managed to get three nights std. view at BWV and two nights at WLV by going on the wait list. We went on the list in May and it came through in July. By chance the three nights at BWV and two nights at WLV came through on the same wait list call. As Dean and Rich said, if you can get anything, it will likely be preferred view.

Called in September 2002 and got a Standard View Studio for January 2003 with no problem!
Needless to say, I was very excited!

I have only tried 2 times, once for a studio and once for a 1BR, both times I had no problem. One was in July the other in April.

No std view at OKW or BCV like with BWV. All points are the same at those two resorts.
