Booking ROOM for August 2017

Hello . I would like to take my family to Disney World and stay at the Polynesia , for mid August 2017. When is the best time to book, to make sure I get a room? Furthermore , when will they post discounts or package deals for August 2017? Thank you for your time and help.

You can book it up to a year or so out, sometimes 11 months out. Depends on the resort.

I am going in Sept 17 to WL and booked the package and put my $200 down.

Right now, the rates for then are rack rates and no discounts. They'll come along though in the spring or so and then I'll call and they'll make the adjustments and I'll pay it off.

If you will go regardless of discounts, I'd book now to make sure you get the resort/room type you want. If your trip is dependent on a discount, I'd wait to see what (if any) discounts are released for your dates. A discount can be applied to an existing reservation, as long as what you have booked is available under the discount. Sometimes you have to be flexible with your resort and/or room type (and sometimes dates) in order to take advantage of a discount as having a reservation already in place does not guarantee a discount can be applied.
