Booking reservations more than 180 days in advance?

On the WDW website under "book dining reservations," the calendar opens up until December 18th. However, when you click the date, it says:

You have chosen a date more than 180 days in advance of today's date. Please choose a date less than 180 days in advance and try again.

Login now if you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest or a Travel Agent for extended booking dates.

Well, I'm a resort guest, so can I book this? Or do I have to wait until 180 days out? And why does this open up if you can't book it?

180 plus 10 for resort guests doesn't mean 190 days from your first vacation date.

It means at the 180 day mark for your first vacation date, you can make reservations for up to 10 days AFTER that.

Are you 180 days out from your first day now, or more than 180 days out? And if you are at 180 days, and you are a Disney resort guest, you need to log in with your resort confirmation number to access 180 plus 10.

If you're a Walt Disney World resort guest with a confirmed RESORT reservation, you may book up to 10 days worth dining at up to 180 days before your date of check-in. This is what we commonly refer to as the 180+10 perk.

If you are not a Walt Disney World resort guest, you may only book dining up to 180 days before date of dining.

So, for example, if I was checking in for a 7 day trip on Dec 8, today would be my 180 day mark. I can then book up to 10 days worth of ADRs (so, for Dec 8 - 17). If my check in was Dec 9, I'd have to wait until tomorrow to book any ADRs for the trip, but I could then book for Dec 9 - 18 (the +10 is inclusive)
