Booking question

My family enjoyed or 2/21 eastern cruise so much that I think I have talked everyone into going back in 2006!!! Obviously I would like to try and book as soon as the 2006 dates come out to secure 1) the lowest price 2)maybe book a secret porthole room. Here is my dilemma. Due to some work related issues my husband is not 100% that we will be able to go. I understand that the reservations can be cancelled for 100% refund up to 60 days prior, but he's not sure he wants to put out $1000 (family of four) to hold a trip we might not take, especially if money turns tight due to the "work situation". Is it possible to book and hold the room for just my dh and I (only a $500 deposit), and then add the kids on later? How much do the children's rates fluctuate? At sail time my girls will be 5 and 8. Also, does anyone have any idea when the Feb/Mar 2006 dates might become avaiable? Does Cosco get these dates immeadiatly? I am feeling lost without my countdown clock, and will love to have another, even if it does say 600+ days!!! Please help me!

I would book for you and one of the children because sailings aan and do fill up for kids in certain age groups and you can not add children in the group that is full (capacity issues with the clubs).

THe ship doesn't fill up for adults if you already have a room that can hold another passenger.

It sounds like your employment situation isn't the most stable. You could book the cruise and if your situation changes for the worse, you would get your refund (don't know how long it takes). Good luck

I am most worried about the price of the cruise increase for the adult if I wait on booking. I would certainly know by at least 6-8 months out if we were going to be able to go on the cruise. Do you think that certain age groups would fill prior to that?
