I have an october use year. If I am booking a vacation for April of 2014, which is my 2013 use year do I have to wait until October to book room or can I book in May and borrow 2014 points?

You may book in May, using your October 2013 points...or if you've already used those you can borrow from 2014.

If you look at your account online, you should see October 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015. So the 2014 points are there to borrow now for a stay in your 2013 use year.

You can always reserve 11 months from the arrival date at your Home Resort based on the points you will have available in your account at the time of the reservation dates. Use Year has nothing to do with when you can make a reservation.
