Booking question...

I have a probably dumb question. I need 3 rooms for next trip-2 in one resort and 1 in a second resort. IF my other parties cannot make the trip, can I cancel their ressies and have the deposit applied to my own room? If not, does anyone know how it would work? Seems like WDW would be glad to keep my money no matter how it’s applied.

When I made my ressies the other day, the cast member I spoke to told me that my deposit was fully refundable up until 5 days before our scheduled date of arrival. (I was surprised, because I didn't think that was the case last time I stayed on-site.) Anyway, if that truely is the case, as long as you cancel the second ressie before the "last minute," I don't see why they wouldn't just switch it to your other ressie.

If the other rooms are in the other persons names, you cannot cancel the ressies, even if you made it! I made a ressie for my DB for Dec. but he is not coming and when I called to cancel, they told me my DB had to call and cancel, that even though I made the ressie and put the deposit on my CC, I was not able to cancel it!!!

thanks for the help...I will remember to have them cancel themselves If they can't go...I really hope they go,tho!
