I need some advice and guidance re:booking our trip for next summer.
My two sisters and mom and I are all co-owners of our DVC points. We initially bought into BWV, and that's where the majority of our points are, but we recently added on a small contract at BLT.
Due to situations at home, the four of us cannot travel together for more than a couple of days, so we typically split our trips, with only a night or two overlapping.
Next summer, we want to book four nights at BWV (boardwalk view), two nights at BLT (MK view - overlap nights), then another three nights at BWV (boardwalk view). It will be our first visit to BLT, which is why we wanted to be there together.
Because we're looking to book high-demand views, I'm not sure of the best way to do it (though I have my own idea). As I understand it, it will need to be booked as three separate reservations, but please see below if this is the best way to do it....
1) Call up for BWV and book our ENTIRE stay, if possible.
2) Call up five days later (or whatever) to book BLT, if possible, but still keep the BWV reservation. For a couple of days, we would have two reservations for the same nights - is this allowed?
3) Call up two days later (or whatever) to take those two BLT nights off of our BWV reservation. I'm assuming that at that point, we could make our BWV two reservations instead of one (since we would be leaving mid-week to go to BLT).
My concern is losing the boardwalk view or screwing up our reservation...can anyone give any insight as to whether or not this is the best way to have a chance at the views we want?
