Booking Question short notice

I have a question lets say on a whim like today I wanted to see if I could book a room tonight but MS is closed. COuld one call the resort directly and book on points or that can't be done. Thank you in advance...

As of February 3 MS will be open 7 days a week partly for reasons such as this.

New Years was sold out and on waitlists for months, so I don't think you'd have luck today. What has happened in the past is that you could book the room for cash payment if available, and they would call MS the following day and change it to points for you.

I thought I have seen posts where members were successful calling the resort front desk for a last minute reservation. I believe someone recently did it when they decided to fly down a day early due to an impending winter storm.
