Ok.. we're 'tentatively' going to WDW for March 12-17th.

I'd like to do the following -

1) Book Room Only
2) At check-in upgrade by adding MYW park tickets for the stay.

Is there any reason I should not do this?

You can't convert your reservation to a package at check in. They'll sell you tickets, for sure - but you'll still have a room only reservation. Which means if you want dining, or any other add on, you won't be able to get them. You'll also lose out on any advance purchase discount if you're getting tickets with 4 or more days on them.

not only is there the advance purchase savings, but if you are buying tickets separately, you may as well sign up for the mousesaver.com newsletter (free) and get the discount that will save you a bit more and have them sent to your home.

Room only reservations can not be 'upgraded' to a package. they have to be rebooked.
