Booking PP now and adding package later?

I just got the pin number for the special Disney is running for the fall. I am debating if I should book the hotel now. My uncle is a retired employee from DW and sometimes is able to get tickets for us so I don't know if we will need tickets or not. If I find out we do need tickets, can I add the package later? I also am keeping an eye out for a fabulous deal for GC. Can I switch my reservation from PP to GC if a good deal does come up?

I'm not sure you can turn a PIN offer into a package, but the "deal" in a package is usually on the hotel stay not the tickets (so you wouldn't be out anything). If a package special came out, you can always change it to a package with the better rates. And you can change hotels. Room only reservations can be changed at any time, even cancelled without penalty up to 5 days prior.
