Booking our room and a friends question

Just waiting for the summer 2017 dates to drop so we can book our second cruise. However we are thinking of going with our friends on this trip. Since I am a type A vacation planner I want to make sure things get booked right.

So, I would like to know if I can book our room and our friends room and then transfer our friends room to them afterward? That way I can ensure everything is done right and rooms are where they are supposed to be right next to each other. I don't want someone coking in and snagging the adjoining cabin if I can prevent it.

The easiest way to book 2 rooms and be most assured of getting ones next door to each other is to call and have a DCL reservation CM handle it. You can book two rooms yourself, for whoever you want (you don't have to book both of the in your name) online (the reservation process asks if you want to book more than one room at some point).

We cruise with our friends all the time. But she is as Type A as me about planning. We just book our separate rooms and then have them linked so we can eat together.

Just be sure they want to be right next door I'm sure you've already discussed it with them. Personally, whenever we travel with friends we like to have not only our own room but also be a little distance away just for a little privacy, etc. I need a lot of down time though even though I love my friends and family.

We are cruising with friends in 39 days (not that I'm counting!). We booked our rooms across from each other....one starboard and one port, but the same type of room. We used a TA and she has our reservations linked. When I book any port adventures or reservations for everyone, I had to wait until the booking time for new cruises was open. We're silver, but it's their first time. I'm a Type A planner and she is too, but they're in the middle of a house remodel, so she's letting me take care of everything. I just hate spending someone else's money! LOL!

On our first Fantasy cruise we were walking up the stairs one day and saw a lady walking towards us in a Chandler elementary school shirt. My wife stopped to talk to her and we found out she had been living a couple streets over from us for about 7 years, it was crazy!
