Booking one night thru disney's travel agents?

We are staying at OKW in November. We were able to book the week starting sat. night the only day missing is sun night. We are on a wait list for Sunday night. There are no cash rooms available, I would like to know if there is ever a time they open up more cash rooms?

The day we are looking for is still available thru disney travel agent's. If I book the one night thru them, do you think they could join all the days so we wouldn't have to switch rooms during our stay?

You can have that noted as a request and reinforce the request at arrival. You may end up with 3 separate reservations where you could need to check-in 3 times and get new KTTW cards but if you can stay in the same room it would be worth it. As long as your DVC reservations are not in the HH area you may be OK.

Just to clarify, it sounds as though DVC has told you there are no points or cash reservations available for Sunday night but you can see one available thru Disney's online reservation system? If so, I'd grab that one and take my chances about staying in the same villa. Your waitlist could also still come thru - there are still over 2 months for that to happen.

Good luck! :)

That is strange. I always thought the cash availability that MS could see was the same as what Central Reservations could see. Why would they see anything else? (Not talking about discounted member reservations here.)

I'm not sure I understand the concept of "opening up more cash rooms". Where would they come from? If they aren't available for points and they aren't available for cash, where are they? If a room is available for cash on the DRC site, MS should be able to book it for cash for you as well, but probably no discounted rate, only full rack rate.

I thought the same thing. In fact, I always search on DisneyWorld.com for availability of cash nights before I call Member Services to book.

Perhaps the OP misunderstood, and MS was telling them there were no cash nights at the member discounted rate?

At HH when I tried to book at 11 months it was not avail on points but a week later it opened for cash. So I booked on cash for 6 nights. in April I was able to get some on points. CRO cash rate and DVC rate are different. For instance my cash rate for Vero is. $211 for an in room CRo is $256.plus we had to go to the desk and check out of one room and recheck in for the other reservation.

That's what I thought when I first read the post. No discount available, not no rooms available.

Sounds like you got the 25% off thru DVC.

I was in a similar situation and I called about 2 days out - the CM was able to find me a room but we did have to switch around. We could've staying in the 1 rm but I didn't like it.
