Booking on line then applying codes?

If I call CR, they tell me that certain dates are not available at a particular resort. Yet if I check online on the WDW web site, I can pull up a reservation for that exact resort on that exact date. I really can only afford the reservation if I get an AAA discount, which, of course, is not available on line.

If I book on line, can I make changes by calling CR? Can I call CR after I make the reservation on line to add requests or see if AAA is available?
 
NO in your case you cant. They only reserve so many AAA rooms per night at each resort and when those are gone they are gone. Dont know when you are trying to go but Disney has discount rates from now till Jan except for t-day and x-mas times.

Unfortunately, they only hold a certain amount of rooms for those perticular codes/discounts. In my case I had reserved AKL Deluxe Savannah before the codes came out - I received a code (pure luck :wizard: ) and applied it to my current reservation. I really doubt there is anything else you can do....Good Luck! :wizard:
 
I think I did not ask my question right.

Here's the problem. CR tells me there are NO ROOMS whatsoever for my dates. In other words, I don't even get to ask whether there are any AAA discounts. They just say they are sold out.

However, when I go onto the disneyworld web site, all my dates are wide open, and I can book there. I'm not sure why this is happening. I would have thought CR and the web site are accessing the same reservation system. But it is. Maybe I've just gotten some bad CRs. I don't know what the deal is.

So my question is whether I can book on line and then call CR to make further inquiries about the rooms. I agree with what I think some of you are saying -- that if CR thinks the room is sold out completely, the chance that an AAA rate will be available is slim.

But my question really is whether, once a reservation has been made through the WDW web site, it can be modified, etc., by calling CRO. Thanks.
 

Ok sorry for the miss understanding. Yes if the internet shows it available then book it online. And yes you can call in and make changes to that reservation over the phone. But I as I said before I dont think you be able to apply a AAA discount. But you might be able to apply a Disney discount.

I have made a couple of reservations online then called and changed or added a date to them over the phone. Just have to give them your reservation # that you receive when you make it online.

Well, third time's a charm, I guess. I did call back to CRO, told them what I was finding on the computer, and was able to book it. At AAA rate no less.

I think that with like 20,000 rooms on site, the reservation system must always be in such a massive state of flux that it can literally change from moment to moment.
 
That is wonderful. I have always learned to call first thing in the morning when they first open if they say they are booked. Cause all the cancelations are processed and the computers are updated for the day.
 
Does that mean if I joined AAA I could get Disney to apply that rate to my package? Going March18-25, 3 rooms at POFQ.
