Has anyone ever gone on the cruise & booked NO excursions.....

we think we don't want too.....

We were just on a 3 night cruise on the Dream and booked no excursions.

We only have a cabana booked for our 7-night Magic cruise in November and are considering doing one non-Disney excursion in Cozumel. Absolutely nothing wrong with doing absolutely NOTHING on your cruise but relaxing. It's your vacation and you should spend it how you wish.

We've done 4 cruises and only booked Disney excursions on 1 of them. We've done our own thing in all of the ports on the others. I haven't yet done a cruise and stayed on the ship, having said that...

We have been on a total of three cruises and have done no excursions on any of them. Going on the Dream in December, not doing any then, either.

going dec 11 on a MR cruise and the only thing I've booked is nursery time. Will decide when we are there if we want any excursions. Right now we are planning on going to the beach in Cabo by taxi and doing some shopping. Planning on a very relaxing trip.

Are you referring to a shore excursion booked through the ship, or to making any kind of plans while in port? I almost always get off the ship when it's in port - with the exception of my Disney Dream cruise in February when we were in Nassau (my 4th time there). The few times I made no plans, I ended up wandering aimlessly around the port area - and I don't recommend that!

Learn about the ports you'll visit before you leave home. If nothing appeals to you and you choose to stay on the ship - great! However, don't be like some clueless people who get off the ship, look around the port and don't like what they see, then conclude that there was nothing to do there - simply because they didn't bother to do their homework.

We have Cruised the western on the magic twice. We have never booked an excursion. Always went off on our own for a few hours but always were back on the ship early so we could enjoy an empty ship. No crowd at the pool.

Last cruise on the Dream we rented bikes at Castaway Cay, but that was it. Planning on the same on our Fantasy cruise next year. We always have an amazing time with no excursions and we've done 8 Disney cruises of a week of more that way. It depends on your family, though. It's always been just my mom and I (I'm 22 now) so she always left it up to me to decide what we would do on our past cruises. But like I said, we always have fun, even with no excursions :)

This is our second cruise with no excursions. There is plenty to do. We plan on going to Cable beach while in Nassau and then spending some time on the ship. The main theme is to relax!

We did our first and second cruise (b2b) this past August and I didn't book any excursions. We knew we wanted to explore the ship. We only planned on getting off at CC and we spent the day on the beach. We did some snorkeling, but we brought our gear and did it at our leisure.

Perhaps after a few more cruises, we'd think about the excursions. We decided that we would rather visit Nassau - Atlantis for a week and experience the whole resort rather than do a quick excursion.

It is actually rare for us to book an excursion.

We leave this Sunday and have none planned. In fact we plan on staying on the ship in Nassau. We will enjoy a beach day at Castaway.

We go on the Wonder on December 4th and we don't even plan on getting off the ship. My DM is going to go into port one day to grab us some vanilla but that's it.

We have ressies at Palos but other than that and nursery time we don't even have anything booked for on the ship.

We plan on relaxing and enjoying ourselves and exploring all the ship has to offer.

We did the Western Caribbean in the spring and didn't get off the ship except for CC. It was our first vacation in many years, our little ones were 3 and 4 so not able to do a lot of the excursions, so we just made the ship our destination. It was fabulous and we had lots of family time!

We've been on ten cruises, and have only ever booked one excursion. I like to do everything on my own (much cheaper most of the time than doing it through the cruise line), and even then, the most we spend is a few dollars for a water taxi. :) Adventure doesn't have to cost a dime :).

Our cruises have been limited to the Bahamas and we've never booked an excursion - well, I should say we've never taken one. We did book some early on our first cruise and my daughter became very sea sick. It almost took an act of Congress or some higher power to get our money refunded; so we've never booked again. We sometimes briefly go into Nassau - to walk to the market and we go to Castaway Cay for a few hours. My SIL and GD sometimes rent a jet ski for the hour, while my daughter and I lay on the beach.

Now, Hawaii might be different. :) I can't wait.

5 Cruises and have never done an excursion. My favorite thing to do is enjoy the ship while most people are off of it!
