New DVC member question. I'm looking at going to WDW with my sister's family. I'm wondering what would be the most point-efficient way to book our rooms. There's basically 2 groups. My family (2 adults and 2 kids) and my sisters family (2 adults and 4 kids). We prefer the 1 BR for us (DW loves having the W&D). For my sister's family, I'm thinking about reserving 2 studios. If I have enough points and there is availability, would I be able to book a 1 BR and 2 studios? I'm guessing I would have to put one studio in my sister's name and one in her husbands name.

Thanks,

WLL

Have you considered changing the time you go or the resort you want to stay at? Maybe by changing one or both of those you can "afford" a two-bedroom for them.

The biggest problem I see is that there's no way to get two studios guaranteed next or even really close to each other. And I doubt your sister would put some of the kids in a studio alone if it were several doors away from where her studio is. That's something you just can't tell ahead of time (where the rooms will end up in relation to each other.)

Point wise, it's cheaper for you to get a 2BR and a studio. That gives you the same space as a 1BR + 2 studios. As long as you've got the points, you can book as many rooms as you want.

That's true, but who is going to stay in the studio? Children can't stay alone in the room and, unless the DVC member wants to watch sister's children for the duration of the trip.... Unless WLodgeLizard wants to stay in the studio and use the living room and kitchen of the two bedroom.
