Install the Lyft app on your phone. Go outside the hotel and click on the app. You should see the Minnie icon. Click on that to request your ride.

Yes as PP said - you need to swipe across until you see it says Minnie Van, then click on it - otherwise you will call a regular Lyft Car not a Minnie Van. Once you call for it - it will look for a car and wait for a Minnie Van to accept the fare. You will then be told how far away it is. We love using Minnie Vans.

Yes, it's on-demand and it's not instantaneous. It can take 15 minutes for a van to show up. I always found it faster to hail a taxi on the spot from the deluxe resorts. From the values or mods, which are unlikely to have waiting taxis on hand, I recommend a Minnie Van.

And you don't have to go outside the resort to request. We request from our room and head down as the Minnie Van is arriving.

I've never had an issue with getting a taxi within a couple of minutes at a value resort. They're always waiting there

The one exception to this is if you have a child requiring a car seat.

I can't recall ever driving into PO, AoA, or any of the All-Stars and not seeing taxis waiting in the lot.
