Just a question on booking Cafe Mickey.

Is there any way you can book in advance - if so could someone please provide details. My sister and niece are going in April and I would love to suprise them by organising and paying for this for them. My niece is 6 - and I know that my sister couldnt budget for this so I would love to treat them.

Would you recommend that lunch or dinner is better - based on what else is going on in the park.

Also are there any other places in the park that are similar or any extra little things that I could also organise??

thanks so much.

Hi dolcevita and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:
We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, posting guidelines can be found here and details regarding help on signatures here

Lifted this from booking info on the Useful Info sticky
"To make dining reservations call (0)160 30 40 50

To ring from the UK - take off first 0 and pre fix with 0033
To ring from the US - take off the first 0 and pre fix with 001133"

Unlike WDW, bookings can only be made 3 months from your intended dining reservation, but depending on the time of year you are going to the park it may not be necessary.

Thanks so much!

I should have mentioned I am in Australia however I will work out the number.

Is April a busy time - they will be visiting 27-29th April?

Thanks again.

Since you are overseas, check out a discount rate calling plan before you call DLP! You can expect to chew up some/many minutes on hold as well as the time you are actually talking to people.

I'm in the States, and I've found PennyTalk to be a great solution (2 cents/minute to the UK and France). Do that homework first, or you might have a huge phone expense for your kindnesses!

Hi dolcevita and welcome to the DIS!:welcome:

What a lovely surprise for your sister and niece :flower3: Some DISers prefer eating at Cafe Mickey at lunchtime because it's quieter but if you booked for early evening it shouldn't be too busy as most Europeans eat later.

There's also a Character Tea Party at Plaza Gardens which your niece might enjoy ~ reviews on here and you can find prices/menu details on here.

I'm sure it wouldn't be necessary to book until your sister arrives but I think it would be rather nice if you were able to present them with a fait accomplis. :goodvibes Like Reid said, you can telephone them on 00 33 1 60 30 40 50 up to 60 days in advance.

Thanks for your help everyone. I rang and reserved lunch at Cafe Mickey and paid over the phone - so super easy!
I ended up telling my sister - she actually got a confirmation email so thought I better explain what it was. She is keeping it a surprise for my niece - so that will be lovely!
Im looking forward to photos after the trip!
Thanks again.

You're very welcome! :goodvibes I hope your sister and niece have a wonderful time! :wizard: :wizard:
