Hi, again - more questions!! I really do appreciate the advice and hints/tips from everyone so far. We're a millimetre away from booking, so please bear with me and help me once again!!

I'm wondering if the meal plans are worth the money? Booking half-board at the DLP adds an extra £430, which works out at over £100 per night just for dinner, given that breakfast is already included in the cost of accommodation. Seems a heck of a lot of money for 2 adults and a 4-year old (who will probably not eat very much due to sheer excitement)

Second question. Should I book any extra activities, such as a Princess-interaction meal or the Wild Bill show, as part of the whole package when I book the hotel and park tickets? Or is it perfectly possible to just wait and play it a bit more by ear when we get there?

Thanks very much yet again. :thumbsup2

I don't think you'd benefit from the half board unless you ate the set menu that comes with it, which usually includes a starter, main and dessert. Not many people bother with them now to be honest.

You can book any character meals when you're there or you can book a table using the restaurant reservations number. You don't need to pay now, you're simply booking a table at the restaurant for whatever day and time you fancy.

You can book Buffalo Bills when there too, via the concierge at your hotel, or at the booth in the village :thumbsup2

If you keep an eye on the boards then you might find that Carie_Cat puts up details of where you can buy Buffalo Bills tickets cheaper. For example ticketnet has them for 39 euros (£31) per adult, whereas buying them fron Disney costs £52 :O. Although that offer is only good until the beginning of November so not sure if that will be good for you. It's one to keep an eye on in case another offer comes up closer to the time.

The meal vouchers I'm not sure about. On the one had you have the peace of mind knowing that everything's paid up front, on the other they're not actually that great value. If you're at all fussy then the set menus are very limited and to be honest if you've got a small child they're a waste of money unless they eat massive amounts - the child menus are meant to cover children from 3 to 11 years old and the amount children of these ages can eat varies massively. For example if we were to have a burger at one of the fast food places for lunch we found that our 4 year old wouldn't want to eat another hot meal at tea time. So getting the vouchers for him was a waste.

Ooops, just realised how rambley this reply has got, the child meal situation is a bit of an issue for me!
