This question is for all of you who have booked your cruise months in advance.
Does the planning and waking up every morning "I can't wait!" :bounce: feeling ever subside or will I be like this for the next 217 days?
I know the excitement will always be there but I'm starting to think if I keep this up until October I will be a nut case all summer.
I really enjoy the summer with my kids home and I feel like it's going to be here and gone because I'll be counting the days until we leave. At some point will I say "OMG, we only have 30 days, where has the time gone?"

In Aug. 2000 we booked the 7 day cruise after just getting back from the 4 day cruise....our "newly booked" cruise was for March 2002! Just 7 more days!

So for the last odd year it's been in the back of our minds - gave us lots of opportunity to discover this board and all the helpful hints we'll be using on our next cruise.

We were down in WDW in Dec. Went to the airport to pick up family, and my DD10 daughter kept smiling at the DCL Cruise CM. One of them came over and asked if they could help her. "You bet! But not until March!" was the answer!

Hang in there!

We do not sail until October. Our last two months have consisted of DW being the only witness to a disputed car/ped accident, DW trying to find a new job after 15 years of abuse, DGma a broken leg/hospital/rehab stay, spinal stress fractures, Ds strep, Ds and DS intestinal viruses, Ds flu, and DH and DW a four hour sewage flood that destroyed the lower level of our house where DGma lives/fighting with the cowboys who run the district and a DW root canal. The net effect has been dealing with someone's lawyer/cop/insurance agent/ politician/ doctor/ specialist nearly every day since mid January. We booked the cruise the week before all this started. Now, one could suspect the booking started all this stuff, but reading guide books and this board and planning have kept me sane and kept my mind off all the junk going on in our lives.

I love to plan, the only thing is, the Cruise cannot seem to keep me as busy as planning a WDW trip. So... I will probably end up reading about the ports we MIGHT get routed to if the weather is bad...

Yes, I know how you feel. I booked our May 2003 cruise in Feb. 2002. We have 398 days left. I am an addict of the boards already and I spend alot of time wondering if the days are going to go any quicker. But I know the time will fly in the summer and than school will be here again. I have taken advantage of the time by soaking up all the great advice from the boards. Being a single mom of dd10 and ds11, the time will also give me time to save up enough to make this the best vacation we have ever taken. Its great to now that I am not the only one going disney crazy waiting for the days to pass. Have a great time. :D

It doesn't subside, even when you sail on an almost-monthly basis!! We have all of our 2002 and 2003 cruises booked already, and even tho' the one coming up next week will be #20, I'm still as excited as if it were number one. :bounce: :bounce:
Every Disney cruise we take is a new and magical adventure. The excitement never subsides!

Yes, it does get easier after the initial excitement. I booked 19 months in advance for my trip. Part of what made me calm down was a husband who said he absolutely wasn't going to discuss something that wasn't for almost 2 years! Now that it is "only" 8 months away I'm starting to discuss it a little and he is even asking a few questions! It really was hard to comprehend just how early I reserved once I realized the kids would be 2 grades ahead when we actually sailed.

Keep checking in here and making your notes. By the time its time....you'll be extra excited and extra prepared. (Another thing to do is keep watching the 'Get a Quote' feature on the disneycruise.com website and see how much money you saved by booking early!)

375!!! and every day i still get more excited .. and the savings by booking so early ... makes it more magical!!!
