Where is the best Place to book your Disney Hotel onsite? What would be the best way to do 2 Days at universal Orlando, to Move to a Universal Orlando Hotel or to transfer somehow to universal each day?

There isn't a single "best place" for booking a Disney resort stay. Sometimes you can find a great deal using an Orbitz discount code. And there are other times when booking through expedia.co.uk is a better deal. And then there are still other times when booking through an airline website can get you the resort you want when it's sold out on the Disney website. You just have to do your own research to find the best deal that suits your needs.

My preference for visiting Universal is to stay onsite at one of their resorts so that I can get FOTL access. I find that it's worth the cost of the room just for that perk alone, especially during busy periods. Paying for a Disney resort room and then shuttling back and forth for 2 or more days strikes me as a waste of precious vacation time and money. But there are people who do it because they hate to pack up and move their luggage once they have arrived at their resort destination.

I couldn't agree more. Being able to use your room key to skip all the lines is like having an unlimited fast pass. It's the only way to do Universal imho. Well worth the cost of their hotels. Keep in mind their newest hotel (Cabana Bay, IIRC) does not offer Express Line perks.
Also compare the cost of a multi day ticket to an AP. The AP is not much more $ but the AP discount was around $100/night off the hotel prices. (As of March 2013). So getting 1 AP paid for itself.

I've gotten all my Disney rooms lately thru Orbitz. They are matching the Disney discount price out right now and an extra 15% off when you book 2+ nights. That 15% really adds up when you're talking Disney.

Even if it's a 1 night stay you can use the code REVIEW15 for 15% off, still in addition to Disney's current promo. Just putting it out there for anyone doing a split stay or maybe 1 night pre-cruise.
