Hi everyone,

I'm a frequent DL visitor, but since I grew up in OC, we usually stay with friends/relatives and visit the parks a day or two during our trip. This time, though, we are thinking of spending a week at the Grand Californian.:banana::banana:

On the DL site, I'm getting a quote for a week in March, hotel only, standard view room, no tickets, $2,033. A quote for a package for the same week, standard view room, plus three day park hoppers (4 people), and no meal plan is $3,799! :confused3 3 day tickets are offered on the site for $169.

At those prices, why would anyone book the package? What am I missing?

Ahhh, the mystery of DLR vacation packages..... Usually the room only discounts are greater than booking a package with Disney (usually the rooms are at rack rate in the packages). MANY people don't think to compare the two and just book a package. The few package perks (priority seating for Alladin, lanyards) aren't worth the extra cost.
