Booking HOJO suite (or suite elsewhere)?

I just got off the phone with HOJO in what had to be the most aggravating call I've ever had in my life. Maybe someone here can help me more than the not-terribly-proficient-in-English HOJO guy on the phone.

I'm looking to travel in late September with 5 people, and was hoping to book a suite Sept. 22-26. HOJO has 7 different room types that list a max occupancy of 5. I would have thought that 6 months ahead of time for a non-peak time of year for travel that they would have at least ONE suite available that sleeps 5.

The only thing the guy could offer me was a king room and a 2 queens room. I'm not looking for two separate rooms... I want us all together.

Is there something going on in Anaheim in late September that is filling up all those suites? Or is this common to not be able to find a family suite at 6 months out? If so, how early did I need to start planning? People keep saying that you don't have to plan as far ahead for DLR as you do for WDW. I honestly thought 6 months ahead for late September would be OK. Do suites everywhere fill up fast?

nm. I see you've gotten plenty of info on your other thread.

Wow, checking online, it appears that, yes, there are no rooms or suites for 5 available during those dates! That is surprising to me. I haven't actually ever looked far enough in advance to book a suite at Hojo's - they seem to book very quickly - but we just stayed in a premium room with occupancy of 5 that I booked only 6 weeks in advance...and it is spring break, not September. I hope you find something or get an answer.

Hi riostoker,

So sorry to hear about your call with our reservations line. Unfortunately when our In-House Reservations team is unavailable, calls are transferred to our HoJo brand reservations line. Since this is a national line, these agents are located offsite and are not very familiar with our specific property. You can contact our In-House Reservationsteam at (714) 776-6120 or (800) 422-4228; Denise, Heather, or I (Kriss) are always more than happy to help. We work directly on property and are available weekdays from 9 – 5 and on Saturdays from 9- 1(closed on Sundays). In regards to our rooms and suites, all our rooms with 2 beds can accommodate up to 5 guests. If you would like a rollaway bed for the 5th guest, we can have one delivered to your room for $15.00+17% tax per night. We have a very limited number of suites available, and these are usually booked at least 6 months to a year in advance. We do get cancelations frequently, you are more than welcome to call us or email us to check if suites became available. If there is anything I can do to help, please feel free to DM me.

HTH,

I don't know if your got your answer, but it may be that hojo's is renovating all there superior rooms this year at some point and it could be they are starting in sept since that is low season. I don't remeember where I heard that but I do know that it was stated that they would be renovating all the rooms facing Disney first, starting in 2015.

Definitely call and make sure you get IN HOUSE reservation agents. They are the absolute best!!!!!
