Booking FP's while onsite.

I'll be in WDW the day I need to book my FP's for my next trip. Any tips to get on and book as fast as possible? I am guessing I'll have to bring my laptop with me now - because I would imagine booking FP's through the MDE App isn't as fast as a laptop, correct? Any quick work-arounds while onsite? Like can I book them from a hotel PC (business center/etc) that might be a faster network than in room wifi on my own laptop? I'm staying at SSR - if that makes a difference.

I'm the weirdo with both the laptop and mobile phone lined up. Just in case MDE is being a piece of trash on either platform..... 😛

I use both so I can do ak and dhs at the dame time. Plus having to get up at 4am to make them I want it done sooner than later which using both allows.

Doing it through phone is fine. If you want your laptop as a backup that's fine but not needed.

I always book through the app and have no issues. I find it easier than using a laptop. You can always just use the mobile site on your phone if you dont want to use the app.

I always use the laptop. I can only type on the phone at one third the speed of typing on the laptop and on the phone I make a typo or fatfinger about once every three charcters compared witho\ about once every 10 characters on the laptop.

When do you need to actually type when making FP's? It's all just clicking for me, which I can generally do faster with my fingers on a small screen than on a laptop.

I prefer laptop but always have both on hand as it never fails that the site crashes midway through and I then switch to phone/iPad.

I'd never use a business center/shared PC for anything that requires a username/password. Way to easy to infect it with something stealing passwords.

As far as laptop/cell phone go, I'd favor laptop, it's usually easier, but have the cell phone on hand in case the wifi in your room is bad.

^^ Same here. Booking FastPasses isn't really that data intensive so I don't think the connection speed is much of a factor. I certainly would NOT lug my PC around the park and always use a smartphone when in the parks to reserve additional ones.

If this is your only reason to bring a laptop, I would leave it at home and use your phone instead.

I had no problems booking them using my phone or my tablet (when in the room). The app was fine.

This is my plan every time we do FPs. This year, my wife was on the other computer tagteam booking FPs. It worked as we were able to get everyting we wanted.
This time we were lucky as MDE was not acting up as we were scheduling FPs. In years when MDE is acting up, the computer, iPad and phone are all used.
