I'm curious, if you're booking FP+ with MVMCP tickets, is it basically the same thing: if you're on site you can book 60 days out, and if you're off-site it's 30 days out? Also, do you need Magic Bands for the FP+ rides since you're entering at 4, or just your party wrist bands?

1. Yes.
2. You can use a MB -or- a standard plastic RFID ticket (you can get one at no charge.)
You cannot use the party wristband as it has no RFID element.

I thought the rule was no FP with the ticket for the party unless you also had a general ticket to the park that day or an AP. Some were getting away with it and some were being told their FPs would be deleted. So proceed at your own risk.

That was a mess last year. For some people, if you had a 5 day ticket plus party ticket and tried to book 6 days, it was deleting the last day booked even if that wasn't the party day. So the advice was to book the party day last.

With the problems people had last year booking FP with party tickets, I was wondering if the following would be allowed:

I have 2 MDE accounts. One with no park tickets but Gen 1 magic bands. The 2nd account has park tickets & we’ll be getting new magic bands.

If I bought the MVMCP tickets on my old account with the old magic bands, there wouldn’t be any computer deletion of other days’ FPs.
Any problems with that, that i’m not seeing?

I don't see how that shouldn't work.

Sorry to hijack the thread - I just thought of another question - if memory maker is on my new account, can I add my old account as “friends and family” so any photo pass photos taken at MVMCP (while wearing my old bands) show up in my memory maker?
Thanks.

You can or just carry one of the new bands in your pocket or bag. It will be picked up by the long distance scanners and you can use it at PP photographers by just pulling it out and scanning it.

I thought about taking my new band with me but wasn’t sure if it was allowed since I wouldn’t have scanned it to get in.

Unless you’re trying to use fp with it no one will know or care what account the extra band is linked to. My sister carried a new band in her purse while we were there because she wanted to wear her old Ariel band. Transmitters picked it up and linked our pictures. It could have been linked to any mde account. As long as you don’t try to use a fp on a ticket that hasn’t been used it really doesn’t matter what bands you wear/carry for pictures.

If it's a band registered to you on your MDE account then it's fine. Every band registered to you on your account is just like every other band on your account. It doesn't matter which one you used to enter the park. Entering with your ticket is all that is needed. From there you can use 10 different bands on a given day, if you wanted

In the scenario with 2 MDE accounts, would one have to wait til 30 days out to book FPs on the party tickets if there is no resort reservation associated with the second MDE?
