When will Disney open up to book for April 2018? I can only look through the end of December right now. I cannot pull my son from school for a week so unfortunately we have to do either April vacation or summer. I was thinking April's weather would be a little cooler. Thank you!

In the past, the next year's bookings have been opened between late June and August. You can call in a reservation, room only. They won't confirm pricing until the next years packages are ready.

You can usually book a room only by phone 499 days out by calling (407) WDW-DISNEY. You usually can`t book online till the 2018 prices come out which often is each summer.

We have already booked the Poly for our May 2018 trip by phone. We booked back in February when we were at about 475 days out. As long as it is within 499 days of your stay you can reserve by phone. This, despite what the first CM told me by phone. She said I could not book beyond 12-31-17 even by phone. When my conversation with her went nowhere, I thanked her and called back to get a different CM.

I would do summer before spring break. Later in the summer as possible. I don't think they could pay me to go during spring break/Easter.

I know right? BUT my oldest loves rabbits, especially Thumper and guess what? The bunnies only come out in the spring, around Easter. So next March is our next trip. Im so nervous about the crowds!

Is it really bad during April? I was thinking since spring break varies for schools from march through April and ours would be two weeks after Easter, that maybe it would not be bad? Am I crazy? I would love to go back in the fall, but he cannot miss school. I figured the summer would be much hotter.

We went last april vacation it was not bad at all. We just got back from this years trip on april 8th and it also was not bad. Go with a plan. Expect crowds and you will ve fine

The week before and week after Easter are the most crowded, so two weeks after Easter won't be quite as bad. With planning you'll have a great time.

Does my whole reservation have to be within the 499 day window or is it 499 days for the check-in date? And what if I am doing a split stay?

does anyone know if travel agents can book for February 2018 or do you have to call around yourself for quotes? We are planning for Feb 2018 and aren't sure which resorts to stay in. I ran into the same issue as the original thread post- couldn't even see the prices and packages online. I want to get our reservations soon so we can book dining.

If you book your room this far out for next spring---how does that work for pricing? When the summer pricing comes out do you call back to get those deals--provided they are for the type and location of the room you have booked?

The CM who booked my reservation told me I could call to change to a package when they come out in June.
