I've just read a thread where a couple of people have booked for 2007 :cheer2:

At the moment we are just at the thinking stage

Am I right that if I book everything separate I can't book flights yet?

Haven't come to any firm decisions yet but thinking about July/August September

Hi

I think you can book your flights with virgin...I maybe wrong though. Do you want to do it all seperate?

I think that you can only booked the flights as a part of a package holiday, for example with VH.

If you want to booked separate the flights say with VA they are not available to 11 months before

wideeyes is right that flights can only be booked 11 months before date of return flight :)

You can however book a fly drive earlier than that, and then just not take the car (if you don't want it)

We have done as Miffy suggests - booked a flydrive and taken the free car for 7 days.

We'll not bother collecting that car and just organise our own car through another means.

I'd go for the fly drive as well, at least you know you have a flight then. The prices aren't bad at the moment and if you book online, you should get 10%off.
BTW, I'd go for September out of those months, purely because it will be nice and quiet crowd wise. Happy planning,

Claire xx

I've thought about doing this for next year. But I am such a worrier :confused3 that I am frightened Virgin will catch on to people doing this and then "fine" them or the like for not taking the car. Does anyone think that they could/would do anything or am I just being silly :confused3

I am a real worrier too, but have still done this! If it's not in the T&Cs I don't see how Virgin can fine you. That said, I've never actually checked the T&Cs to see what they say on this matter ;)

Thanks. It's a tough one isn't it! :confused3 Maybe a little bit of pixiedust: will help :rotfl2:
