Booking for 2006??

Hi! I know I'm probably missing something, but I was trying to book through 407-WDISNEY for May 2006 and they said it wasn't available yet. Now, I know I've read of people booking for 2006 (or maybe I'm just spacing out ) Am I calling a wrong # or am I just being too anxious? Please help me get on the ball.... Thanks!!

They SHOULD be able to book it - what they CAN'T do is guarantee the room rate, because 2006 rates have not yet been released. They'd reserve you the room, and you would make a deposit based on 2005 rates. When the 2006 rates were released, you'd pay the difference.

Unless they've changed their policy - but that'd be a big change and I think we'd have heard about it all over the DIS if they did.

I'd call back and try again. If you continue to get the same answer, we'll know there's been a policy change.

I just called back and the rep sounded surprised when I told her when I wanted to book the room. I asked if I can just reserve the room to guarantee it but she said no. (A very nice person, but again she said no). I understand about the room rates and mentioned it to her, she still said there's not a way to do that. So I don't know. Maybe I'm not wording it correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks again to anyone with any info.

Call one more time.

Tell them "I'd like to reserve a room for 2006." If they tell you that they can't do that, ask "I was under the impression that the room could be reserved without a guarantee of the rates."

If they still say no, ask to speak to a supervisor.

If that STILL gets you nowhere, then I would have to imagine there's been a policy change.

Hi again, thought I would just update that I did not get anywhere with the 3rd call. I used your suggestions for phrasing it, but still no luck. So I will call back in May 2005 Thanks again for your help!
