Booking flights through Disney?

Has anyone booked their flights through Disney...? Do they have deals with airlines for better rates?

It's very unlikely they would have any deals. Unless they were significantly (on the order of hundreds of dollars) cheaper I would never book airline tickets with a third party (Disney, Expedia, Orbitz, et al). If something goes wrong you will have the airline and the third party blaming each other with you stuck in the middle.

I never book my flights through a third party...I always book right with the airline. If something to go wrong...weather, a delay, a change, whatever....Disney would be in charge of it, not you. So, it could take a while before you knew there were any changes. There are very few deals out there, if any, for airfare.

Exactly. Airlines do far fewer discounts these days as they have become much better at managing capacity such that almost all flights are full. There's little chance they would give a third party cheaper seats to sell.

In general, infrequent fliers think there are secrets to booking air fare. There just isn't any more. You generally have to take what you get and hope for the best.

My travel tip: NEVER BOOK AIRFARE THRU ORBITZ!!!! EVER!!!

We one time...one time had to book a 3rd ticket (other 2 already purchased on SWA) and we bought a JETBLUE flight thru Orbitz. Get this: Jet Blue cxled all flights that day because of "gov't inspection failure" and booked that ticket for next day. No other option given. We were attending a function at WDW the day they cancelled so I had to book last minute thru SWA. We fly exclusively all other times on SWA but no seat was available when I first bought 3rd Ticket...They ended up helping me out with getting a seat thank goodness.

I never received compensation from Orbitz or Jet Blue for the cost. I will never purchase anything thru them again. EVER!!! Worst customer service policy I have ever experienced.

Always book direct...you will be in control!
