booking first trip

We recently bought into the club. We were given 160 developer points to use next year. I understand that you can only book using these points seven months out.
here's my question:
Is it possible to borrow points from next year book the villa at eleven months that we want and then switch the reservation at seven months to utilize the developer points?

Any borrowed points would have to be used within the UY in which you borrowed them. Example, borrowed 2008 UY points for a 2007 UY reservation must be used by the end of the 2007 UY. They cannot be unborrowed so to speak.

And you can't "swap out" home resort points for developer points at the 7 month mark unless there is still availability for the exact same unit type/size and dates.

If you think about it, allowing members to "swap out" or exchange" points like that is a way to get around the home resort booking advantage. It wouldn't' be fair to anyone who was on the waitlist prior to the 7 month mark.
