Booking fireworks party as a surprise

Hi all,
I’d like to book a fireworks party, either Star Wars or MK, as a Christmas gift for my trip buddy. Is there any way I can do this without it showing on MDE? Or will I have to wait and book it on Xmas eve?
Do I have to phone to book them, or can it be done online; and is it 180 days in advance like ADR’s?

They can be booked at 180 days and they may already be sold out. Book now. Very unlikely you would get anything booking on Christmas eve unless there is a cancellation.

Not always 180 days. That is actually rare.

You can book online. What date are you wanting to book?

You can create another MDE account and book thru that. When you check in you just use your name, not Magicband. It won’t show up on your friends MDE

Yes, this is what you'll have to do. I had booked a BOG dinner to surprise my parents with on my trip last week. Of course, my phone started acting up on the trip (2 years old so of course, right?). Anyway, I had to put MDE on her very new phone and sign-in. Of course those plans showed up. She never really looked at it, but I thought she might see it. Anyway, yeah, there's just no other way around it. A Dummy account should work though.

Just make a separate MDE account -- all you need to do is link a CC to the account in order to be able to book.

If you’re wanting this year, I’d book it ASAP. The dessert parties are different, sometimes (like right now) they do open up at 180 days, sometimes just a few weeks in advance. If it’s something you really want to do, check at 180 days and possibly every day after that until they’re open (been there done that).
And as others have mentioned, just create a new account. I highly doubt you would be able to book that the day of on Christmas Eve.
