Hi

The guide books (and occasionally on DIS) comment on the fact that you have to eat dinner way too early (kind of mid-afternoon) on the Fantasmic Dinner Package. They also say that Disney releases the better time slots just a few weeks before. Well....

I just booked August for 17:30 when the show is scheduled for 20:30!!

Am I just lucky or do the books get it wrong?

Either way guys , just go for it!!

The time you have seems pretty normal. We have a 5:40 for a night with an 8:30 show. When we went with 13 people, I think our reservation was 4:45.

We have a 6pm adr for Mama Melrose with Fantasmic at 8:30 in August. :thumbsup2

We have a 5:40pm slot for the 9:00pm show. The past few years, the latest I could get was 4:30pm. We lucked out this year.

We got a 6:20 at Hollywood & Vine with Fantasmic @ 9:00. I wanted after 6 so we wouldn't miss the parade.

I have a 6:00 pm for Brown Derby....Easter Week....Fantasmic is at 8:30.

can someone help me understand this package?? Do you pay a ticket price or just pay for food at a rest?? what is the advantage of doing a reservation close to a show time?? what show is it?? which restaurants does it include??
any help would be great!

Fantasmic is an evening show at MGM - there are 3 restaurants that offer a package, which includes tickets for a reserved seating section. this cuts down your wait time for the show when it's busy. here's the link from allearsnet.com for a complete explanation

I was able to get a 5:30pm ADR when the show is at 8:30. That was my preferred time, so I don't know what else was available.

I got a 5:40 reservation at Momma Melrose's for Easter Week. I figured we would have a pool day and arrive at the part around 4:00... do a few things, have dinner, do a few more things... then head off for the fireworks. I've never seen them and can't wait!!

I got a 5pm ADR at HV and Fantasmic is at 7pm.
