Just want to clarify something -- when booking a Fantasmic dinner package, is a credit card needed to hold the reservation, and if so, what is charged at the time of making the PS? Do they just use the card to guarantee the PS and charge the amount at the time of the actual dinner? (I prefer to pay cash and really don't want the dinner charged, if possible.)

Thanks!:D

We booked the package when we went May 17. We had to reschedule our dinner because we were just to full from lunch on the day we were supposed to go. They threatened to charge us 10.00 cancellation fee for each person - $50.00 total. Which the restaurant had the choice to charge or not charge. We then had to walk to the restaurant and speak with them (We weren't trying to cancel but just reschedule the day.) They ended up working with us and not charging the cancellation fee. Long story short.....Nothing is charged to the card unless you cancel (which you need to do at the restaurant or they will charge you) or tell them to charge it at the end of the dinner. Then they ask for the credit card, they won't go by the credit card number on your reservation to charge dinner. Hope this helps....

I always pay with cash even though I have reserved with a credit card. No problems.

Where do you eat with this package? Do you get special seating for the Fantasmic? Is there a special charge for this package?

In other words, I have never heard of it. What is it all about?

There are 3 restaurants currently that participate in the Fantasmic package -- Hollywood and Vine, Mama Melrose, and The Brown Derby. When you book PS, you request the Fantasmic Dinner package. There is no extra charge for this package (just the cost of the meal). At the restaurant you are given a voucher that enables you to a special seating at the show without having to wait 2 hours. Doing it this way you don't have to arrive 2 hours early to get a seat -- you can get there 45 minutes to a half hour before the show and get a seat.
Definitely worth it in my book -- we're gonna eat dinner anyway, and there's no sitting for over an hour trying to keep our kids occupied. Others say it's not absolutely necessary to do this, especially if you go off season when the show doesn't get as crowded. We always go in the summer, so we take advantage of it.
