Help!!!! My family and I are looking at going to WDW in Dec 2008.:yay: We would like to book a DVC 2BR Villa thru AAA. Would like to stay in a place like that since there will be eight of us (Me:hippie: , DH:cool1: , DD8:3dglasses , MIL:teacher: , FIL:teacher: , SIL:cheer2: , BIL:teacher: , and 2 kids under 5:cutie: ;) ) and a full kitchen and several bathrooms would be great!

We want to stay on prop to take advantage of Magical Express and WDW Transportation.

My question is, is it difficult to book a villa like that the second weekend of December? We're looking at the 11-16. I'm not very interested in risking my money to buy points. We'd love either Boardwalk Villas or Beach Club Villas.

Any input is appreciated.

As a DVC owner at the WLV, I have been going at that time of year for the last 10 years must say that it is now a much more popular time of the year. I would book it as far in advance as you can as you could always cancel - the 2 bedroom units are wonderful. You will have a wonderful time no matter what DVC you choose.

You have nine people in your party, I believe, and I think that you can only have eight in the two bedroom, unless something has changed. You will love staying in a two bedroom though. It is hard to stay in a "plain" hotel room after that.

Unless one of the little ones is under 3 years old, they're not going to let you book a 2-bedroom villa. Maximum occupancy is 8 people, plus one child under 3.

Even if you do meet the occupancy requirements, that would be WAY too crowded for my taste. You're going to have to fit all of those people into 1 king bed, 1 full-size sofa bed, and two queen beds. And, if you don't get a dedicated 2-BDR, you'll only have 1 queen bed and a sofa bed in the second bedroom instead of 2 queens. Way, way too much togetherness, not much privacy.

Have you considered getting multiple rooms instead? I think it's helpful for each family to have their own 'space' to return to after being together all day.

Of course, this may all be a moot point. December is the busiest time of year for DVC bookings; I think you're going to have a difficult time booking a villa at that time of year.
