Booking DME

When renting points does the owner still need to book DME or can the renter do it using the DME website?

It is my understanding that the member must make the DME reservations.

I have called and booked DME the last 2 times I rented points. I just called DME directly and gave them the reservation number.

Official policy is that DVC DME reservations must be made through DVC Member Services. If CM's aren't following policy then so be it.

The policy may have something to do on how DME receives payment. If a guest books a cash reservation, the DME fee is paid for by Disney Resorts.

If a DVC guest books DME, maybe due to accounting reasons they want MS to book the reservation. I also expect that the cost is part of our transportation dues.
