Booking DisneyMoon: Advice?

Well, I took all your advice.

We'd really wanted a CR tower room with a MK view. Since we waited so long, the only option there is Concierge-Level...which is a bit outside what we'd like to spend. Looking at our options online, we decided to save a few dollars and go with a garden wing king room still at CR.

I called up today to book the package and had the most PHENOMENAL CM that i've ever spoke with at reservations. Keegan perhaps? SO friendly and helpful. She priced out a few different options and left me in a bit of a conundrum...a Honeymoon suite at WL is only about $540 more for the week we'll be there....and that includes the concierge-level amenities, a jacuzzi in the room, etc. Pretty tempting. I booked the CR room just so we didn't miss out on that (and cause it was the original plan!)...but I'm going to talk it over with Katy tonight after work. Anyone have any input?

I think one of the concerns she's going to voice is the decor. We really like the look of the CR rooms. WL...we don't know too much about.
First of all Congratualtions!

My Husband and I had our Disneymoon this past May where we stayed in the Honeymoon Suite at the Wilderness Lodge. My opinion is this...the resort was fantastic and all of the CMs (both on the concierge floor and at the front desk) were absolutely wonderful!! Although you are used to the decor at the contemporary (where I have stayed as well) I think you would find the Wilderness Lodge to be very romantic. There is a huge fireplace with rocking chairs in the lobby, the geyser, tree lined trails etc etc. We were glad to have access to the concierge amenities and they were extremely helpful in getting us some dinner reservations we weren't able to obtain on our own. However, in my opinion the only thing that was different about the Honeymoon suite itself was the jacuzzi tub, the rest of the room was exactly like regular rooms we have stayed in.

Hope this helps :-)

Congratulations!

You will LOVE your Disneymoon, really no matter where you stay/what you do. It is just an amazing place to go.

Definitely book ASAP, and just kinda hang out on here, there are all kinds of tips/advice for honeymooners here. I read alot of TR's as well before planning ours. We stayed this past December at Wilderness Lodge as well, my FAVORITE resort, SO romantic. Our favorite parts were just relaxing and taking it easy, enjoying our week together. It really is the free, relaxed moments that mean the most, IMO.

Have fun planning!

Bit of an update for all y'all. With the release of the Buy 4 days, get 3 promotion, I called up this morning to add on another day to our trip and thus get the discount. Just for grins, I asked about upgrading the room....and sure enough, they found one!

Instead of 6 nights in the Garden Wing, we're staying 7 nights in the tower with a MK view AND saving ~$300. WOOHOO! Both Katy and I are bouncing right now!

How exactly does that work? Do you have to buy tickets too or can you use it some other way?

You have to book a package (room and tickets) to get the 3 nights free. The resorts board has a thread about the offer that is really helpful. :) The deal helped us save $1600 (so we added an extra night) and still saved $1100.
