Does anyone know if you can book the Disney Cruise on arrival ot your Disney Hotel??

I am arriving at the Hotel on 9th September for 14 nights and wanted to know if I would be able to book a 3nights cruise on arrival at the hotel for the 15th September???

There arethree basic ways you can book a DCL cruise.

1. Call one of the 800 numbers; I use 800-951-3532

2. Call a travel agent or other third parties like AAA, Costco, Sams Club, etc.

3. Book onboard.

Since DCL is a seperate entity/business from Disneyland, WDW, and the other theme parks a Cast Member will tell you that you don't book through them, but to book directly through DCL or the other ways I mentioned above.

If you know you want to go, you should book it now. It will be cheaper and it could also sell out by then. You should call around and see if you can get any deals and/or any onboard credit. AAA offers onboard credit (although not much for the shorter curises). If you don't have time to call around, you could try curisecompete dot com. Not sure I understand why you want to wait until you get to WDW?

How do you book DCL onboard, do you just go to the Port on the day of sailing?? Do you think it will be any cheaper??

You HAVE to book in advance. You cannot book at the port. A Disney Cruise is not a walk-up attraction.

Since 9/11 all cruise lines have to have their passenger lists set a few days before sailing, so last minute walk-ups are no longer an option.

With DCL the price goes up closer to the cruise. This is true of most cruise lines now. After 9/11, when travel fell off, a lot of cruise ships had excess capacity which they would sell cheap close to the sailing date. Most cruise lines now are doing a much better job of filling their ships so there are a lot fewer last minute bargains. They are very rare on DCL.

In addition, you would need to make sure that you have the correct documentation to take a cruise. Remember you are leaving the country. Currently a certified state issued birth certificate along with a photo ID is acceptable, but you would need this for everyone in your party.

If you really want to take a Disney Cruise, you should either book through DCL (phone or web) or via a travel agency (local or web).

People who book on board are booking their next cruise, not the current one.
Basically since September 11th, because of the security checks on passengers, you can't book less than a couple of weeks before a cruise.
You can not walk up and book a cruise on the spot on any line in the U-S anymore.

Booking on board is for future cruises only, i.e. you've already booked a cruise and are sailing on it. You can get decent deals and a stateroom credit (on the future cruise) by booking your next cruise while on board.

Like everyone above has mentioned, if you want to sail in mid-September, you really should book now. You don't gain anything by waiting, and it's likely that you'll pay more the longer you wait.
