Last year I learned the hard way that if you book dinner shows online while on the DDP that your credit card will be charged even if if you link the reservation to your resort ressie. I thought I remembered reading somewhere that this had now been fixed. Does anyone know this for sure? My 180 days is tomorrow morning and I so not a phone person, especially at 4am!!

As a Dining Res. Specialist, I can tell you that if you call in, get an actual agent, and have them make the res for you, they simply click on a box that shows you (the guest) wants to use your entitlements. This way, the CC is NOT charged and they simply verify (charge $1.00 on it) the card to show it is a legit, actual card. Now, as far as you doing it yourself online, I cannot explain how that process works - sorry :(

Right now, yes, it appears your card will be charged. I was trying to book Mickey's BBQ and even with my dining plan reservation associated with the booking it wanted full pre-payment. If you call you can avoid that but right now using dining credits to book online doesn't seem to be working.

I called my res In this last month and my card was not charged,it just appeared to do it on line that there was no opption to not get your card charged.

I just called Disney Dining to see about the Spirit of Aloha show being linked to our Disney Dining Plan. Easy peezy! No issues! Yes, credit card info is taken, but just as a hold for any no-shows; NOT CHARGED! :thumbsup2 Can't wait! :woohoo:
